When we think of headsets we all think of different things.  However, no matter where you are likely to use your headset, the chances are that almost every person in the UK will have some form of headset.

The most frequently used headset is a telephone headset.  These devices are regularly used in offices across the country and can be incredibly useful on a day to day basis.  These devices are also used with conjunction with mobile phones.

It is illegal now to drive whilst talking on your mobile phone without a telephone headset, and therefore, anyone who owns a mobile phone is also extremely likely to also own a headset to accompany it.  There are many different types of telephone headset available for these purposes.

Headsets are also frequently used for gaming.  With technology continually developing and gaming becoming more interactive, headsets are now used for interaction purposes to allow participants to communicate online to other gaming participants.

Again, this style of headset can vary dependent on usage and the price you wish to pay for the technology.  These devices can be very clear and it is incredibly easy to communicate by using them.

Another purpose for headsets is within the armed forces.  These headsets are again different to the ones we may use on an everyday basis, however the principle of them is the same.

They allow aviators and ground troops to communicate with each other without sacrificing the use of their hands.  And in this kind of environment, having the ability to use your hands whilst communicating with your team is essential.

As technology continues to develop it is likely that headsets will too and we will see more and more uses for them over the coming years.
